About Us
Lens Healthcare Training is a multidisciplinary medical simulation and training center designed to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals through hands-on, realistic learning experiences. Founded by a nurse educator with advanced degrees in Nursing Education and Public Health, our mission is to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world clinical practice.
We operate as a high-fidelity simulation center where medical students across all disciplines—including nursing, medicine, allied health, and support roles—can safely develop, practice, and refine essential clinical skills. Our simulation-based approach emphasizes confidence, critical thinking, patient safety, and procedural competence in a controlled, supportive environment.
In addition to simulation training, Lens Healthcare Training offers American Heart Association CPR certification courses, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, equipping healthcare professionals and community members with life-saving skills. We also provide TEAS exam preparation to support aspiring nursing students on their journey into nursing school, Narcan (naloxone) training to promote overdose prevention and community safety, and a medical photoshoot studio tailored for professional branding, residency applications, and healthcare marketing.

Meet the director/Founder:
Karen Gustave, RN MSN, MPH
Since 2013, my journey in healthcare has been one of purpose, passion, and perseverance. I began as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care—a role that taught me humility, resilience, and the sacredness of caring for others. Every shift, every patient, every moment reminded me that nursing is not just a profession—it is a calling.
But even before stepping into scrubs, I was a dreamer and a builder. I have always carried an entrepreneurial spirit—creating websites, launching the first-ever faith-based event platform, opening clothing and accessories stores inspired by church fashion, and learning the rhythms of business from the ground up. I have always believed that creativity and compassion belong together—and that business, when guided by faith, can change lives.
Before I entered nursing school, I made myself a promise: one day, I will open my own school. Not just any school, but one that breaks barriers and opens doors—where students from all walks of life can access quality medical education, no matter their zip code or financial background.
Today, that promise has become reality. Nursing Lens Healthcare Training is not just an institution—it is a God-led mission. Every decision, from the location to the tuition structure, has been intentional and strategic, rooted in my desire to bring “Harvard to the Hood”—to empower, uplift, and create opportunities for communities that have long been overlooked.
Every sacrifice, every late night, every obstacle was worth it. I stand here today as proof that faith and hard work can turn vision into reality. My goal is simple yet profound: to teach every student the beauty of inhaling education and exhaling care.
This is more than a career.
